BET has improved their otherwise bland Hip Hop Awards with this year’s ‘Cypher,’ which is a showcase of old and new school lyricists demonstrating their craft. Who killed it the best? Well, definitely not Nicki Minaj (despite what this article says). Wale also did pretty terrible, considering he’s actually a really good rapper. Overall, my opinion is that Joe Budden, Eminem and Black Thought did the best, with KRS possibly having the most memorable moment.
