Common’s joint Make My Day featuring Cee-Lo should thankfully be the final single from the overall disappointing Universal Mind Control. As much as this video doesn’t suck, I would rather see the Common Sense from the Resurrection days, instead of him making this mainstream trash. Oh well.
I always like a well-cut typographic video, but this one bugs me a bit. The live action sequences are trying to look like the other relief prints, but just look lame – like when a noob finds the lens-flare filter in Photoshop. Maybe they didn’t have the budget, but they should have tried something a little more off the wall and contrasting than settling for some weird screen-door effect.
