I consider this project to be the first ‘big’ project I was involved with, coming out of school. I learned a lot about designing with a lot of restrictions, and coordinating multiple tasks including text translations, video ripping and print proofing.

Who?

The first annual enRoute Film Festival was created to support Canadian culture by showcasing our students’ film-making talents and to provide original programming to Air Canada’s inflight audience.

What?

This was an exciting project and I had a hand in all creative aspects of it.

  1. An identity that incorporates enRoute’s branding and inflight film. This logo is still being used today.
  2. A website that facilitates the entries, as well as allows users to view the finalists via Flash video.
  3. All print media with spots in the National Post, Famous, enRoute, Playback, and Concordia University, among others.
  4. All rich-media ads, with spots on cineplex.com, aircanada.com and youngcuts.com, as well as the enRoute website.

How?

After a failed first design, I asked to be in charge of the identity and the website. I then became involved with all related media. My main focus was the effectiveness of the website as a standalone waypoint for users and sponsors alike.
