During my love affair with Flash, i became obsessed with creating interface experiences; things that couldn’t be achieved easily with standard HTML and Javascript.
Who?
Yours truly
What?
A portfolio website built with 100% Flash. Its final version was 4.0, circa 2009.
How?
With Flash, I was able to add things like an mp3 player (with a playlist of 50 songs!), filterable school portfolio, page-turner, full screen background video, and a sliding gallery; all dynamic, all preloaded. I was obsessed with this site for about 3 years; i tinkered with it endlessly. With the way things are going on the web these days, I’ve taken a step back from my journey with Flash, which is why my portfolio is now in HTML/CSS. Flash still has it’s place on the web, and I still create full Flash websites for clients though, but only if the content and goals fit.
