It’s amazing what computer graphics student work looks like these days. Take Vincent Chai who, for his final project at the University Of Hertfordshire in the UK, created a succinct and rather epic battle between the heavy, lumbering robot and the slim, acrobatic robot. Creatively executed with a little bit of humor, this video gets an A+.

September 27, 2009 at 4:51 pmI actually agree with Tony. A lot more could have been done with this.
And Tom, regardless if this is student work or not, feedback about personal videos is usally welcomed by creators. Good or bad. That’s how learning goes.
Fred, regardless if Tony made his own video or not, that still wouldn’t help the creator of this video. I hate when people say that.
Aside from that, the video was decent. Less towards the action, for me, and more towards the art style. The character design was beautiful, and the setting was outstanding. I enjoyed it. Thanks.

September 15, 2009 at 5:39 pmTony, I am not quite sure which video you were watching, but it could not have been this one. The graphics on this video were quite impressive and if you think that it is such poor quality then make your own video instead of raining on other people’s parades.
Or your blind, which in that case do not comment on the videos of others.

June 6, 2009 at 2:29 pmThat was not very good. There was no attempt at the pavement giving way or a cloud of dust coming up when the robot lands out of the air. Also, it didn’t make any sense. Why would the jet robot be concerned about getting out of there in time before the bomb went off? It was going to destroy half of the world anyways, would it matter? Sure, the animation looked good, but it didn’t make sense, and there were some effects that definitely should have been at least attempted. This is a rather lazy attempt if you ask me.
